Media Matters for America

Media Matters for America is a unique organization that prides itself on its work to monitor, analyze, and correct conservative misinformation in the U.S. media. Media Matters needed a new website that let them publish content multiple times each day and tell overarching stories within recurring themes.

The design phase for the project began with in-person meetings in their headquarters in Washington, D.C. We explored Voice & Tone and design goals during all-day workshops with the Media Matters team.

The Media Matters website needed to be able to support content being presented in many different ways. I developed a versatile design system that included a number of content modules that can be turned on or off, allowing the team to make frequent changes and updates. A vibrant color palette and stylized approach to photography echo the liveliness that comes from covering the shifting media cycle.
